Carol is interested
in producing images which convey a sense of magic, incongruity
and the incidental, and a feeling of energy and timelessness
in her subjects.
Interiors
Carol began her series on derelict Greek and Italian
rooms whilst at the Royal College of Art, attracted
to these places by the quality of light and rich availability
of empty, atmospheric interiors. Only recently has she
begun to introduce the figurative element into this
work.
landscapes
Having spent over ten years working indoors, either
in her London studio or in abandoned buildings abroad,
the move to Kent with its varied landscapes and coastlines
has provided Carol with a constantly-changing and stimulating
environment in which to set up her landscape photographs.
Other
Since winning the Chesterton Prize and Fletcher King
Award, Carol has photographed interiors in Britain and
abroad for magazines and brochures, again using light
and movement as key elements in her work |
